Green Up Day

May 4 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

Green Up Bags are available on the Tunbridge Public Library porch. We’ll also be handing out bags at the Tunbridge transfer station Saturday, April 27th and Wednesday, May 1. Your official green bags full of roadside trash are welcome free-of-charge at the transfer station from May 1 – May 11th.

If you bring bags in on May 4th, you will be rewarded with Bob-n-Ed Bucks which can be used at the Rec Field Cook Shack all day for treats and meals. This program is sponsored by donations and celebrates the generous and community-oriented lives of Ed Howe and Bob Rogers. Green Up your road, grab a burger and watch a little league game!

Contribute to Vermont’s World Record attempt “Most Pledges to Pick Up Trash” by signing your name to the list at the library, or with our Green Up Day volunteers posted at the transfer station.

First Branch students have already signed up to tackle Dickerman Hill Road, Durkee Road and the lower section of Foundry Road.

If you’d like to claim a section of road to clean, you can get yourself on the map by emailing Eliza, or by speaking with one of our Green Up Day volunteers posted at the transfer station.
