Below is an overview of telecommunications updates in the Town of Tunbridge. This is a general resource and may not include all existing or proposed work. Information will be updated as new projects and resources are available. Contact the Planning Commission or the Selectboard with questions.

Route 110 Wireless Equipment Update

Bell Atlantic Mobile Systems, LLC d/b/a Verizon Wireless is modifying existing wireless equipment on a 39-foot utility pole located above the Tunbridge Fairgrounds on VT Route 110. There will be no change to the pole height. The initial installation of wireless equipment on this pole was approved by the Vermont Public Utility Commission on June 22, 2017.

2025 Vertex Cell Tower Proposal

In April 2025, Vertex Towers, LLC, a real estate and engineering firm, proposed building a 176-foot cell tower for Verizon Wireless and future wireless service providers on the ridge between Spring Road and Monarch Hill Road at 6 Ware Drive in Tunbridge. Vertex’s advance submission expired without a petition being filed and was closed on October 9, 2025.
