SUMMARY:Birding in the Tunbridge Town Forest
DESCRIPTION:This time of year is Nirvana for birders. Join a walk offered by the Tunbridge Conservation Commission as we explore the birds of the Tunbridge Town Forest located on Recreation Road (known as the Town Garage Lot). Some species are passing through\, others are staking out territories while others are already nesting. We hope to see and hear a variety of songbirds. No experience is necessary. The hike will be led by Neil Fitzgerald and Michael Sacca of the Tunbridge Conservation Commission. \nTo register\, please contact Michael Sacca at mfsacca@gmail.com or call 802-889-3210. The parking location will be provided upon signup. Space is limited. The rain date is the following day\, same time. \nPlease wear appropriate footwear\, light-colored clothing and long sleeves for tick prevention and also bring a mask. Binoculars and a field guide are useful additions. A few pair of loaner binoculars are available on a first come first\, serve basis. The hike will be through some hilly terrain.
